Gulf Coast Surf Sisters was developed from a simple request by Pensacola Christian Surfers.  “There needs to be something for our girls to expose them to surfing in a positive atmosphere.”  Under the guidance of Buck Waters, Emeralds From The Sea Surf Classic was organized by Lisa Muir-Wakely.  Christian Surfers manned the grill, judges’ chairs, and taught surf clinics into the afternoon.  As the day went on, the surfing went from white water competition to the first all-female advanced surfing competition ever on the Gulf Coast!
